Objective
To improve accountability among all stakeholders/donors/organizations to save costs and increase efficiency in the delivery of donor funded projects
Need for Training
Donors give templates but it is important to have your own organization accounting and management system which can be used to generate all donor requirements. What is even more, instead of having various systems in your organization, your organization can have only one that responds to all donor requirements.
This powerful, 3 day master class workshop enables organization accounting and finance staff to appreciate various accounting packages available, methods of sourcing for them and identify their general and professional application .Besides, participants will get the latest skills on operating the packages to produce required organizational outputs, have a coordinated system of reportingwhich can be audited, institute planning and budgeting of the projects using accounting packages, save costs and increase efficiency, avoid duplication, produce management accounts through the Quick Books and have adequate and consistent project funds utilization and separation of donor requirements skills.

- How to use key systems: The Sun System-continued
- Chart of accounts in QuickBooks and generating reports
- Introduction to Sage package accounting system
Day 3
- Linkages to others systems including excel
- Exporting accounting reports to suit donor requirements
- Analysis, variances and Reporting
- Reporting and expressing projects in the right percentages
Training Methodology
Dynamic, creative, participant centered, practical, interactive, interesting adult learning methodologies-including facilitated discussions, small group interactive exercises, large group discussions, role plays, plenary presentations, Case Studies, examples from organizations and drawing upon participants’ own experience- and diverse media will be applied.
